Over 300 medical students from 30 countries coming to Sarajevo, will also visit Bosnalijek company

From February 4 to 7, 2016, the International Congress of Medical Students - SaMED 2016 will be held in Sarajevo, with over 300 participants from 30 countries worldwide, organized by the Association of Students of the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo, under the general patronage of the largest Bosnian pharmaceutical company, Bosnalijek, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The President of the SaMED 2016 Organizing Committee, Malik Ejubović, told Patria that 130 scientific research papers will be presented, and an expert jury will select the best ones.

Compared to 2015, this year's SaMED has attracted a larger number of participants as well as submitted papers. Ejubović particularly emphasized the importance of such gatherings.

- Every faculty that aspires to be strong must have its symposia for both doctors and students, as it is an opportunity to get to know each other, to see the scientific work done by colleagues at other faculties, and to develop ideas through other congresses – says Ejubović.

SaMED participants will have the opportunity to visit the largest Bosnian pharmaceutical company, Bosnalijek.

- The largest number of foreign participants will visit Bosnalijek, which, besides the scientific part, is the most important part of the Congress. It is important for participants to see what capacity we have, that we have a serious pharmaceutical company that can compete not only with regional but also with global companies and that is globally oriented – says Ejubović.

The congress officially begins on February 4 at 6 PM, and the largest number of participants come from Russia, but also from countries in the region, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Ukraine, Mexico, Colombia, Bolivia, Estonia, Lithuania, Iran, Saudi Arabia...

Under the patronage of Bosnalijek, at the very opening of the Congress, participants will attend a lecture dedicated to the most modern guidelines in the treatment of high blood pressure.
