More than 20 Iranian missiles hit Israeli military and intelligence locations

(Patria) - More than 20 of the approximately 180 missiles Iran launched at Israel on Tuesday penetrated air defenses and landed near at least three military and one intelligence location, writes The Washington Post.

This media outlet has verified video footage showing 20 missiles hitting the Nevatim air base in southern Israel and three bases in Tel Nof in the central part of the country.

Other video footage shows at least two missiles landing near the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in Glilot, Israeli media report.

The Israeli military confirmed on Wednesday that some air bases were hit the previous night in a large-scale Iranian ballistic missile attack, but emphasized that the functionality of the Israeli Air Force was not compromised.

It was also stated that the effectiveness of an attack is measured by the damage caused to key infrastructure and property, and the number of casualties, not by how many missiles reached their target.

The Israeli Air Force says it successfully prevented such damage and significant casualties.

One Palestinian died from shrapnel of an intercepted missile in the occupied West Bank, and two people were lightly injured in Israel.
