A car bomb hit a police vehicle in the Turkish city of Diyarbakir, after which at least 13 people were injured, a police official confirmed, Al Jazeera reports.
A similar explosion in Diyarbakir was activated in March, when seven police officers were killed and 27 injured.
Al Jazeera reminds that a wave of violence has started in southeastern Turkey since the ceasefire between the PKK and the Turkish government was broken in July last year.
The PKK has been fighting the Turkish state since 1984; they initially fought for Kurdish independence, and now they are seeking greater autonomy and greater rights for this largest ethnic minority in the country, NAP reports.
