Vilić visited by representatives of the Russian Embassy in BiH and the Slovenian Ambassador

Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Mirsad Vilić and his deputies, Uroš Pena and Mile Jurić received advisor at the Russian Embassy in BiH Igor Kryukov today on a working visit, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

During the meeting, Director Vilić briefly presented the competencies and organization of the Directorate, as well as the more significant activities of the Directorate's officers in the past period. They also discussed the modalities of the cooperation between Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to date, as well as the possibilities for its improvement through the organization of training and education for the Directorate's police officers, and the exchange of experiences through study visits. Kryukov expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to date. On this occasion, he particularly thanked the Directorate for the efforts invested in the technical realization of the extradition of a Russian citizen from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Russia, who was apprehended in Bosnia and Herzegovina based on INTERPOL warrants, the Directorate announced.

Earlier in the day, another visit took place, by the Slovenian Ambassador to BiH Iztok Grmek and the Slovenian Police Attaché in BiH, Janko Goršek.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the cooperation between the Directorate and the Embassy of Slovenia in BiH to date, which was assessed as extremely successful. On this occasion, they also discussed the organization of an official visit of the Directorate's leadership to the Ministry of Interior of Slovenia. Ambassador Grmek emphasized Slovenia's readiness to provide support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to European Union membership, which also includes the engagement of Slovenian experts from various fields in projects to strengthen the capacities of institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
