Vilić received the new Russian Ambassador to BiH

Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, Mirsad Vilić, received a delegation of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to BiH led by Ambassador Petr Ivancov on a newly established visit today, reports the BiH news agency Patria. 

The Director of the Directorate welcomed the ambassador and briefly presented the Directorate's responsibilities and its role in coordination, cooperation, and communication within the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized the good cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation and the Directorate, which has been carried out through the exchange of operational information via channels of international operational police cooperation.

Ambassador Ivancov thanked the Directorate for the technical assistance provided to the Russian Federation in the extradition process of a wanted person to Russia. He showed particular interest in the phenomenon of BiH citizens going to foreign battlefields, including the possible arrival of foreign citizens in BiH.

Furthermore, the ambassador thanked the Directorate for the professional and high-quality performance of security duties at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in BiH. Future joint activities were also agreed upon, which will be conducted in the form of study visits by Directorate officials to Russian institutions, with the aim of exchanging experiences regarding the security of persons and facilities and establishing best practices in international police cooperation.
