
(Patria) - Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Mirsad Vilić held a working meeting today with the Director of the ICITAP Program in BiH, Laddie Hancock. Director Vilić assessed the cooperation so far and the implemented joint projects as extremely successful and emphasized that the ICITAP Program in BiH is recognized as a valuable strategic partner by all police agencies in BiH.
ICITAP continuously provides assistance through the procurement of material and technical equipment, organization of thematic and specialist police training so that police officers in BiH can more efficiently perform duties and tasks within their competence and respond to everyday security challenges.
Director Hancock emphasized that the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program of the U.S. Department of Justice (ICITAP) has been present in BiH since 1996 and helps domestic law enforcement agencies to develop and improve their work. The ICITAP Program is committed to implementing projects of mutual interest in partnership with domestic police agencies, which includes planning, curriculum development, organization of training and seminars, equipment donations, and mentoring and technical advice.
The interlocutors discussed planned joint activities in the field of organizing specialist training for police officers. On this occasion, Director Vilić presented Hancock with a Certificate of Appreciation for the support and selfless assistance provided in building the Directorate's capacities, and expressed confidence that this successful cooperation will continue in the future.
