Vilić: Operational Headquarters "Srebrenica 2020" formed, all security measures are being implemented

(Patria) - The Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies has formed the Operational Headquarters of the "Srebrenica 2020" action regarding the extraordinary security for the 25th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in the "UN Safe Zone" of Srebrenica, which will be held on July 11, 2020, in Potočari.

Mirsad Vilić, director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, told Patria that the Directorate, as the coordinator of extraordinary security activities, is taking all necessary measures and actions to ensure the smooth holding of the commemoration.

"Members of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, in cooperation with all police and partner agencies in BiH, are implementing measures and actions according to the planned dynamics, all with the aim of creating preconditions for the smooth holding of the mentioned event," said Vilić.

He adds that in addition to security measures, special attention is paid to respecting epidemiological measures, which are in force due to the current COVID-19 epidemic.
