VIK's Action: Emphasis on Disconnecting Legal Entity Consumers

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In Sarajevo on November 14, 2017 - KJKP"Vodovod i kanalizacija" is starting activities to disconnect consumers from the water supply system due to non-payment of bills for consumed water and sewage within the agreed period.

- Our consumers were notified on October 23, 2017, that they can conclude debt payment agreements under more favorable terms. In the period from October 23 to November 9, 2017, the company concluded agreements under more favorable terms with 173 customers. Of the aforementioned number, 17 agreements relate to customers from the Legal Entities category, and 156 agreements relate to customers from the Households category.

During October, 33,731 pre-litigation warnings were sent to consumers along with their bills for debts from the period January 1 to June 30, 2017. This obligation is foreseen by the Government's Action Plan regarding measures and activities to improve the collection of utility services in the Sarajevo Canton.

Disconnection activities for debtors from the legal entities category will begin on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. We will not disconnect the largest debtors based on the amount of debt, but rather by location, in order to increase the number of disconnected consumers and avoid transportation costs from one end of the city to the other multiple times a day.

On November 15, 2017, between 08:00 and 15:00, ten debtors from the Centar and Stari Grad Municipalities are scheduled for disconnection. Between November 15 and November 23, 2017, 55 consumers are planned for disconnection. KJKP "Vodovod i kanalizacija" will initially focus on disconnecting consumers from the Legal Entities category, whose collective debts amount to KM 7,960,644.89.

We remind our consumers that they can still contact our premises to conclude deferred payment agreements, except for those who are on the disconnection plans from the water supply system - it was announced from VIK.
