Council of Ministers: Ban indexing loans in foreign currency

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina at today's session considered the conclusions of the 10th session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held on April 8, regarding the discussion on the information of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the problems of loan users contracted with a clause on indexing obligations in Swiss francs and measures taken to resolve these problems, reports the Patria news agency.

 - The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations was tasked, in cooperation with the Ombudsman for Consumer Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to prepare a proposal for amendments to the Law on Consumer Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would explicitly prohibit the indexing of loans in foreign currency, except in euros (as well as amendments to other legal acts if necessary - announced by the Council of Ministers.

The parliamentarians discussed the problem of citizens who have loans in Swiss francs, at the initiative of MP Aleksandra Pandurević.
