Council of Ministers of BiH Adopts DOB, Preparations for Budget Adoption for 2023 Underway

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers adopted the Document of the Framework Budget of Institutions (DOB) of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2023 - 2025, which contains the medium-term framework of the budget of BiH institutions and the preliminary draft budget of BiH institutions for 2023, along with preliminary expenditure estimates for 2024 and 2025.

A new text of the DOB had to be adopted to align with the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Benefits and Institutions of BiH, which was adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

The Document of the Framework Budget of Institutions will be aligned with the Global Framework of Fiscal Balance and Policies in BiH for the same period, after it is adopted by the BiH Fiscal Council.

In this way, conditions have been created for the Ministry of Finance and Treasury to prepare and submit to the Council of Ministers of BiH for determination the Draft Law on the Budget of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of BiH for 2023, for further submission to the Presidency of BiH, which is authorized to propose it, and to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, which ultimately adopts it.
