The Council of Ministers held an emergency session in Sarajevo today regarding the declaration of a state of natural or other disaster in BiH due to the coronavirus outbreak.
After the emergency session of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held on Monday, the state government convened today, with the key agenda item being the coronavirus pandemic.
In accordance with the Framework Law on Protection and Rescue of People and Material Assets from Natural and Other Disasters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, state ministers today declared a state of natural or other disaster caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Additionally, it was agreed to fill and activate the Coordination Body of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Protection and Rescue, given that the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Proposal for a Decision on amendments to the Decision on the formation of the Coordination Body of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Protection and Rescue. It will be coordinated by the Minister of Security of BiH, Fahrudin Radončić.
