
Six people were killed in an accident that occurred during the Coruna rally race in the Spanish province of Galicia, local police announced, reports the Patria News Agency.
The accident happened when the driver lost control of the car and went off the track. Among the dead were four women, one of whom was pregnant, and two men.
- One of the drivers entered the turn far too fast and sped into about 20 spectators, said a police spokesperson.
In addition to the six dead, about ten other people were injured, and according to local media, the driver and co-driver of the car were unharmed. However, the police could not confirm this information.
The Spanish Prime Minister expressed his condolences via Twitter, as did numerous other prominent figures, writes Index.
