VIDEO Reaction to Spin from Serbia: People of Bihać Save and Help, They Do Not Destroy or Set Fires!

Regarding the protests scheduled for Saturday in Banja Luka, Serbian media have planted a shameful piece of information, attempting to blame "groups of extreme Bosniaks from the Bihać region" for possible unrest. Skippers from the Una River and members of the ABC Association from Bihać have reacted to these far from harmless spins. The Patria news agency is publishing their reaction in full.

-This time, the citizens of Bihać have been directly implicated in the story, characterized as a destructive factor that, with the support of Western centers of power, is working to destroy the RS, and as residents of Bihać, skippers, and citizens who, during the May floods two years ago, with their own resources and capacities, bravely joined in rescuing the population of the RS, primarily the citizens of Doboj and Maglaj, we cannot but react.

We are convinced that normal citizens throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina are victims of politics, both those in power and the opposition, and most of all of their regime media, which want to impose their sick mental framework as a virus, as a benchmark for the thinking of the majority. We are angry at all politics, those in power and the opposition, yours and ours, without any exceptions, because they only compete in lies.

The normal inhabitants of this country are equally angry at the opposition, which, when given the chance and comes to power, only manages to do an even worse job than its predecessors. By constant brainwashing, nationalist rhetoric that you yourselves do not believe in, stoking inter-ethnic conflicts, and serving up lies with the help of regime media like this one, you have driven all normal people away from any thought of engaging in politics. So for 20 years we have had politics in power without a real opposition, with parties that serve as each other's alibi for inaction.

This attempt by both the authorities and the opposition in the RS to organize protests on the same day, senselessly trying to prove who has the greater brain damage, while media from a neighboring country accuse residents of a third party that has nothing to do with your politics, is merely raising the bar of absurdity and an insult to the intelligence of a normal person.

As direct participants in the May floods that occurred two years ago, when we traveled 350 km from Bihać to help our fellow countrymen, we cannot remain silent and not express our disgust at such media spins, the serving of untruths, and the constant stoking of fear and hatred among our hungry and suffering peoples, all so that political elites can keep their well-paid positions.

And while you falsely and with prejudice portray us this way and create additional division where there is no basis for it...

Neither then, nor ever, will we look at and count the blood cells of our friends from Banja Luka and other cities of the RS, no matter how much you push us to do so.

Nor will we remain silent, because that would justify everything you want people here to become. We will always raise our voice and be there when help is needed for anyone, anywhere, because that is what the people of Bihać are like, and they do not want to be any different. It is precisely for this reason that we took the writing of this Serbian media as an insult to all residents of Bihać and felt the need to react.
