VIDEO Scene that shook the world: Wounded boy Omran from Syria

A heartbreaking scene from Aleppo has shaken the world, best describing all the senselessness that war brings. The footage shows a rescue team pulling the injured from the rubble, reports the news agency Patria. 

At one point, a rescuer is shown carrying a wounded boy who is injured but not in life-threatening danger. The boy's name is Omran Daqneesh, and he was injured in bombing by either Assad's or Russian forces in Aleppo, writes The Telegraph.

As a Time magazine journalist wrote, the boy does not make a sound nor is any crying heard, reports N1. 

The boy, dressed in a T-shirt on which a cartoon character is barely visible through the dust, sits quietly and silently. One of his eyes is wide open, the other not so much. He looks curiously at the people outside the vehicle, then raises one hand, runs it through his hair, and touches his bloody cheek.

He lowers his hand and calmly looks at his bloody palm, then, not knowing what to do, turns it and simply wipes it on the seat. Without saying a word, without making a sound, no tears, an eerie calm, writes jutarnji.hr.
