Video: Curtain fire caused skyscraper blaze

Many guests of the luxury hotel in Dubai, where a fierce fire broke out on New Year's Eve, thought they would not survive. The fire simply devoured the 63-story, 302-meter-high Address Downtown hotel, reports the Patria News Agency.

A day after the fire in the luxury hotel, witnesses say, and photos they are posting on social networks confirm, smoke is still billowing from it, although the fire, according to officials, was brought under control on Thursday. The hotel, black from smoke and fire, looks eerie, and parts of the skyscraper's structure are still collapsing, witnesses say.

According to official sources, 16 people were injured, mostly minor. CNN reports that their sources from the police say the fire broke out on the 20th floor where curtains caught fire in an apartment.
