VIDEO The Muslim People Did Not Disappear, Today a Verdict on Karadžić's Ideology

(Patria) - The verdict for Radovan Karadžić, according to analysts and historians, is of historical significance considering that the horrors of the 90s are linked to the ideology propagated by Karadžić. 

The Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT) will today deliver the final verdict for Radovan Karadžić for genocide and other crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995. 

The evil that was being prepared in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been recorded in the books of many important figures. Florence Hartmann, in her book “Crime and Punishment,” presented several characteristic phone conversations of Karadžić in which he announced massacres and the extermination of Bosnian Muslims. Thus, on October 12, 1991, Karadžić telephonically outlined his plans to several close associates. He repeated exactly five times in the same phone conversation that in the event of war, Muslims would disappear. Karadžić said: “They (the leaders of Bosnian Muslims, ed. Florance Hartmann) do not understand that there will be bloodshed and that Muslims will be exterminated. These poor Muslims do not see where their leaders are leading them and what they are condemning them to, to disappearance.

These people will disappear, disappear from the face of the Earth (if they do not accept annexation to Serbia as Karadžić wants, ed. F.H.). Their only chance to escape this was to accept what we offered them. And that was already too much, we offered them a lot, too much” (annexation to the so-called Greater Serbia).

In another phone conversation with associates, which he held on October 15, 1991, Karadžić, after announcing the extermination of the people, announced the extermination of the leaders of Bosnian Muslims: “First of all, none of their leaders will remain alive. In three or four hours, all of them will be killed. They will have no chance to survive.”

After this phone conversation and prediction of the tragic fate of the leaders of Bosnian Muslims, he went to a meeting with these people, which was held in the Assembly of the Republic of BiH. And then Karadžić publicly, in front of the cameras, threatened that an entire people would disappear.

The great powers had these recordings for a long time and knew the content of every conversation of Serbian nationalist leaders. The authorities in Sarajevo were immediately warned of these Serbian intentions to eliminate the entire Bosniak people and their leaders. Karadžić and his party never hid the fact that Bosnian Muslims were their main target. 

Florence Hartmann explained why they were the target of the Milošević and Tuđman regimes and their satellites in BiH: “Bosnian Muslims were a nation whose very existence prevented the abolition of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its division between Serbia and Croatia.”

Prof. Dr. Ivo Komšić had a meeting with a high-ranking SDS official before the war. 

“Get all your relatives out of Sarajevo that you have,” that SDS official warned him in the summer of 1991. And what will happen to the Muslims, Professor Komšić asked him. “Not even a bird will leave Sarajevo. We will suffocate them like mice,” said the SDS official.

When a multi-ethnic Bosnian delegation from Sarajevo, during negotiations in Geneva, asked Karadžić to stop directly shelling apartments, because his shells were killing Serbs, as well as everyone else, Karadžić euphorically exclaimed in front of all present: “Kill them all, as far as I'm concerned. Those who remained in Sarajevo are not Serbs.”

It was not only the leaders of Bosnian Serbs who spoke of the extermination of Bosniaks. Dario Kordić, an HDZ convicted war criminal, threatened Bosniaks before the war: “If you don't come to your senses, you might disappear from these areas.”
