Venezuela to hand over 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the US

(Patria) - United States President Donald Trump announced on his social network Truth Social that Venezuelan authorities have agreed to hand over between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil to the US.

As he stated, the money obtained from the sale of these barrels will remain in the possession of the United States.

- I am pleased to announce that the interim authorities in Venezuela will hand over between 30 and 50 million barrels of high-quality, sanctioned oil to the US. This oil will be sold at market price, and I, as President of the US, will manage this money to ensure it is used for the benefit of the people of Venezuela and the US - Trump wrote.

He added that he has tasked Energy Secretary Chris Wright with implementing this plan.

- The oil will be taken over by storage ships and delivered directly to unloading docks in the United States - stated the US President.

We remind you that after the US military and security services arrested the current president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, at the end of last week, his Vice President Delsi Rodriguez took over power.

She officially assumed the function of President of the country, and Washington hopes to have a positive relationship with her. Trump, on the other hand, warned that a "worse fate than Maduro" awaits her.
