High interest from companies for the construction of the Počitelj-Međugorje highway

JP Autoceste FBiH d.o.o. Mostar informs the public that yesterday the application submission process for pre-qualification of contractors for the procurement of works on the construction of the highway on Corridor Vc from Počitelj to the Međugorje interchange was concluded, reports the Patria News Agency. 

The Počitelj - Međugorje subsection is 11 kilometers long and is divided into two lots: LOT 1 Počitelj interchange – Počitelj bridge and LOT 2 Počitelj bridge – Međugorje interchange.

Ten companies submitted applications for LOT 1, and eleven companies for LOT 2.

In the next period, the submitted applications will be evaluated, and a list of pre-qualified companies will be prepared, who will be invited to submit their bids.

-The longest Počitelj bridge on Corridor Vc will be built on this subsection, which is 975 meters long and 85 meters high, with monolithic pillars and a span structure between the pillars of 147 meters. The bridge is located north of the town of Počitelj and connects the two banks of the Neretva River, crossing the M-17 main road, the railway line, and a local road," stated the director of JP Autoceste FBiH, Ensad Karić.

The total value of the project is 100 million euros, and the funds are provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB).

It is planned that contracts for construction and supervision of construction will be awarded in June of this year. The deadline for the completion of the highway construction on this section is 30 months.

In a previous period, expressions of interest were received for supervision services for the execution of works on the mentioned section, where 16 companies submitted expressions of interest.

The Počitelj – Međugorje subsection is important because it connects the towns of Počitelj and Međugorje with the border with Croatia.
