Great Britain sanctions Davor Savičić from Doboj for fighting in Ukraine

(Patria) - Great Britain today announced its largest package of sanctions against Russia in a year and a half, imposing punitive measures on 56 individuals and entities linked to Moscow's war machine, including mercenary groups active in Africa and an individual accused of involvement in the 2018 Novichok nerve agent attack.

Among those sanctioned is Davor Dragolobović Savičić from Doboj.

"Savičić is involved or has been involved in destabilizing Ukraine or undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine because he is involved in policies and actions that destabilize Ukraine or undermine or threaten territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence," it was stated.

In November last year, police in Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a report with the BiH Prosecutor's Office regarding Savičić due to reasonable suspicion that he was a member of the paramilitary mercenary group "Wagner", reports RSE.

FUP filed a report against Davor Savičić for joining 'Wagner'

(Patria) - The Federal Police Administration has filed a Report on a Committed Criminal Offense with the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Davor Savičić from Doboj, due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of 'Illegal Formation'

Based on several videos on Telegram and the Russian network Vkontakte, RSE has determined that Savičić is possibly active again regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and that he is behind the mercenary group "Vuk".

Media in BiH and Serbia have also written that during the war in BiH, Savičić was a member of the paramilitary group Serbian Volunteer Guard, led by Željko Ražnatović Arkan.

Groups led by Ražnatović are suspected of committing war crimes in Bijeljina, Sanski Most, and Bosanski Šamac.

Arkan was indicted for war crimes by the International Court in The Hague in 1999, but was not tried as he was killed a year later in the Belgrade hotel "Interkontinental".
