Great Britain, France and Germany call on Iran not to take further steps that could destabilize the Middle East

(Patria) - Great Britain, France and Germany have called on Iran not to take any further actions that could "destabilize" the Middle East.

In a joint statement, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz emphasize that they have "consistently made it clear that Iran must never possess nuclear weapons" and that they support Israel's security.

The statement refers to American attacks and adds: "Our goal remains to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons."

The leaders call on Iran to "enter into negotiations" to secure an agreement that "addresses all concerns related to its nuclear program."

"We are ready to contribute to this goal in coordination with all parties," they say in the statement.

The E3 countries said they are committed to "peace and stability" in the region and expressed support for Israel's security.

"We will continue our joint diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and ensure that the conflict does not intensify and spread further," the statement said.
