Major operation in Federation of BiH: Police arrest members of the Panteri organization

(Patria) - Officers from several police agencies have been searching premises used by members of the parapolice organization Panteri across the Federation of BiH since this morning, Istraga.ba has learned. The operation is being conducted under the supervision of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office. Police are searching about ten facilities in the areas of Sarajevo Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton, Una-Sana Canton, and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

According to Istraga's information, at least five members of the Panteri organization will be arrested. They are suspected of several criminal offenses, from extortion to usurpation of authority. In the Sarajevo area, police are arresting Semir Sultanović, known as Biban, who was recently arrested after the Panteri clashed with friends of the director of Sarajevogas, Haseta Tirić, in Ilidža. Police are also searching the premises of Ahmed Džinović, who is also a member of the Panteri and who, since this week, has been serving a prison sentence in Bihać.

The Panteri organization was founded in Belgrade. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the region, members of this organization are mainly individuals prone to committing criminal offenses. They claim to be fighting against pedophilia. Panteri record and abuse individuals they claim are pedophiles. However, they have consistently refused to cooperate with police and judicial institutions, unwilling to provide information.
