Large SIPA operation in several BiH cities, suspects of tax evasion and money laundering targeted

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency are today conducting an operational action at several locations in the areas of East Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Kiseljak, Visoko, Banja Luka, and Zvornik. Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency are carrying out activities in cooperation with the Indirect Taxation Administration.

The operational action is being carried out in order to execute several orders from the Court of BiH for the search of apartments, other premises, movable property, and persons, and temporary seizure of evidence, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of "Organizing for the Commission of Criminal Offenses" from the Criminal Code of BiH has been committed, in connection with the criminal offenses of "Tax Evasion" and "Money Laundering" from the Criminal Code of BiH.

The operational action is being conducted under the supervision of the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central Bosnia Canton, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, it was announced from SIPA.
