Major MUP TK Operation: Searches Conducted at Four Locations, Drugs, Pistol, and Money Found, One Person from Gračanica Arrested

(Patria) - At several locations in the Tuzla Canton (TK) area, searches of individuals and residential premises and auxiliary facilities used by persons linked or potentially linked to drug abuse offenses were carried out at the end of January.

The operation was conducted by police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK, acting on orders from competent municipal courts, with the consent of the TK Prosecutor's Office, and according to a previously prepared Operational Plan for the implementation of joint measures and actions to prevent, detect, and identify perpetrators of drug abuse offenses.



During the searches, conducted at four locations, the following items were found and temporarily confiscated from individuals from the areas of Gračanica, Tuzla, and Živinice:

• six packages of various sizes containing a white substance that visually resembles a narcotic drug;

• a metal box containing a certain amount of plant matter that resembles a narcotic drug;

• an aluminum foil package containing a certain amount of dried plant matter that resembles a narcotic drug;

• 15 packages of various sizes containing plant matter that visually resembles a narcotic drug;

• two crystal lumps of a substance that visually resembles a narcotic drug;

• 127.5 tablets of various colors that visually resemble narcotic drugs;

• two digital scales for precise measurement;

• a grinder for narcotic drugs;

• a 7.65 mm caliber pistol with a magazine and 10 rounds of ammunition;



• cash in the amount of 600 Euros and 1,800 BAM in various denominations;

• a mobile phone, as well as other items related to the commission of the aforementioned criminal offenses.

Following the implementation of these activities, one person from Gračanica was deprived of liberty and will be handed over to the TK Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings, along with a report containing evidence, after criminal processing.

The found items and substances have been temporarily seized for necessary expert examinations and other investigative actions, and further measures and actions are being taken under the supervision of the TK Prosecutor's Office to document the criminal offenses. Upon completion of the case, appropriate reports will be submitted to the TK Prosecutor's Office.
