Major action by the Bosnian diaspora in Canada

(Patria) - The Institute for Research of Genocide Canada (IGC) in cooperation with Bosnian organizations and communities has launched an action that should activate and motivate the Bosnian diaspora in Canada in the context of defending the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The diaspora wants to make a concrete contribution to peace and stability in BiH with this action, the Institute announced.

"The battle for the state of BiH must currently be fought in every part of planet Earth where there are Bosnian citizens and friends of BiH. The Bosnian diaspora in Canada and Canadians, friends of BiH, have a concrete and very significant opportunity to demand from the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, all ministers in the government, and all members of both houses of the Canadian Parliament, through an online action, to prevent the intention of violently breaking up the state of BiH. Three decades after the aggression and genocide against BiH, citizens are once again living in fear of those who so openly, so brutally invoke the past and evil as in the nineties.

Not only BiH, but also Canada, does not sleep peacefully because of this. Genocide has been established in the verdicts of international courts, which Canada has recognized with its parliamentary resolutions, and there is no discussion about it. Genocide has even been proven at the DNA analysis level of the victims. The verdicts of international courts state that the institutions of the Republika Srpska entity, their army and police committed genocide.

The creation of the Republika Srpska entity is not a product of democracy or democratic processes, but of brutal aggression and genocide described in the verdicts of international courts. Almost the entire military and political leadership of the Republika Srpska entity has been convicted, military leader Ratko Mladić and political leader Radovan Karadžić have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Several verdicts include genocide. Canada is well aware of the facts of these terrible crimes, genocide, and the way it was created. When all these facts are considered, the policy pursued by Milorad Dodik is absurd. If he dreams that the Republika Srpska entity can become independent, he is greatly mistaken," said the IGC.

The Institute believes that Canada must condemn and sanction the secessionist, anti-state, anti-Bosnian, anti-civilizational aspirations of Milorad Dodik and his followers in order to prevent another aggression and genocide against the European state of BiH, a UN member.

"We have called on the Bosnian diaspora in Canada, Canadians, friends of the state of BiH, to take just one minute and send a letter via the link to the Prime Minister of Canada, members of the Canadian Government, and members of both houses of the Canadian Parliament with the request that Canada immediately raise its state voice in defense and strengthening of the state of BiH, in preserving the sovereignty, territorial integrity, political independence, and international subjectivity of BiH.

Milorad Dodik must be stopped. Ideas about the division of BiH must be suppressed. This is not only a matter of peace in the Balkans, but a matter of peace in Europe, the world, it is a matter of elementary justice and ethics in which Canada must participate with a strong, state response. Because the defeat of the state of BiH would also be the defeat of Canada," they said.

With this activism, we show Canada and the world the strength of the diaspora and make a personal contribution to the defense and strengthening of the state of BiH, demanding that Canada support the deployment of NATO to deter secessionists, sanctions for those who seek the destruction of the state of BiH, and a new agreement that will benefit all citizens, peoples, and the state of BiH.
