Vegafruit Brands on the American Market

Bosnian-Herzegovinian fruit and vegetable processing company Swity d.o.o. continues its success in foreign markets. Today, the first two containers were shipped from Visoko to the United States market, out of a total of 5 contracted containers planned for delivery by the end of this month. The first shipment to the American market will include approximately 100 tons of finished products from the Vegy vegetable preserves and Fruby jams product lines.

In addition to the US market, Swity d.o.o. has already contracted significant quantities of products from the Vegy product line for the EU, regional countries, and Australia for this year. The first shipments to these markets will commence in September.

- About a year ago, after restarting production that had completely ceased, we managed to bring our brands back to store shelves. Today, we expect two to three times higher exports this year compared to 2016. We are particularly pleased that extremely demanding markets such as the EU and the US once again recognize the quality of our products - stated Haris Salihbašić, director of Swity d.o.o. - a fruit and vegetable processing company from Gradačac.

After the plant's operations were halted, investments were made to restart production, thereby saving jobs. Currently, 70 employees and their families, as well as several thousand contract farmers, depend on the production at this factory. Last year, approximately 4,000 tons of fruits and vegetables were purchased.

The entire production process is carried out according to original traditional domestic recipes. Only fresh fruits and vegetables of controlled quality are used in the production process. All juices are without preservatives and sweeteners, as most sweeteners found in juices marketed in our country are not suitable for consumption and some are banned in the EU.
