Vedrana's voice helped make books accessible to all blind people

The Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired in BiH has nominated the renowned actress and journalist Vedrana Seksan for this year's April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo, writes the Patria News Agency.

In their explanation, they stated, among other things:

-She is charismatic and self-aware. For the past decade, she has regularly visited the Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired in BiH to read books for visually impaired individuals. With her humane gesture, volunteer work, and beautiful voice, she has marked our production.

To date, she has read 41 books (11,000 pages of text) and recorded 353 hours, stored on CDs for all our users in BiH and beyond its borders. Her versatility and multifaceted talent have contributed to our publications becoming recognizable.

The Library for the Blind of Montenegro organized a gathering of its users with Vedrana Seksan, attended by renowned writers Andrej Nikolaidis, Balša Brković, and Ognjen Spahić. On that occasion, they proposed that she read books for the needs of the blind and visually impaired in Montenegro, for a fee. She refused, returned to Sarajevo, and continued to read books at our library, voluntarily. That is Vedrana.
