Most French, Germans, and Britons see Trump as a dictator

(Patria) - More than half of French, Germans (59 percent), and Britons (56 percent) consider US President Donald Trump a dictator, a view shared by 47 percent of those surveyed in Poland, according to a poll by the Destin Commun research center.

This public opinion survey comes at a time when Ukraine, despite heavy fighting against Russia, is facing sharp criticism from Trump.

Washington froze military aid and intelligence sharing with Kyiv last week. Europeans, on the other hand, are mobilizing to compensate for this lack of American aid and want to establish a strong common defense.

Around 35 percent of French respondents show more sympathy towards Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, following his turbulent meeting in Washington with Trump at the end of February.

Only a quarter of French people still consider the US an ally, and more than half (57 percent) said they have difficulty defining that relationship.

Regarding the possibility of war in Europe, 60 percent of French people believe it is likely that Russia will invade other European countries in the coming years. In Great Britain and Poland, 68 percent of those surveyed hold such an opinion, as do 53 percent in Germany.
