(Patria) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated yesterday that the Russian war against Ukraine should not lose focus in Europe due to the war in Iran.
"It is important that the world does not remain silent about what is happening and that this Russian war in Europe does not lose attention due to the war in Iran. 'Shaheds' kill people equally, and protection from cruise missiles and ballistic attacks must be equally reliable," Zelensky wrote on Telegram.
He emphasized that he hopes every political agreement to strengthen Ukraine's air defense will be implemented on time.
"And it is important that the pressure on Russia because of this war does not stop for a single day: there should be no pause in sanctions against Russia for every such strike," stated the Ukrainian leader.
He also noted that the rescue operation in Dnipro is still ongoing after Russian strikes on the city.
As he stated, Russian forces are "terrorizing Dnipro" with missiles and drones, and five people were killed in the latest attack.
"Strikes are aimed at ordinary residential buildings, energy, and civilian facilities. During the day, Russians also attacked a residential area they attacked at night. Many were injured.
For now, it is known that more than 40 people were injured in Dnipro. Among them are children. 23 people have been hospitalized. Two more are considered missing - the search for them will continue until it is determined what happened to them," said Zelensky.
