Extraordinary session of the Federal Parliament: Will the Budget for 2018 be adopted

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - An extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament will be held today starting at 1 PM, where the Proposal of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, the Proposal of the FBiH Budget for 2018, the Proposal of the Law on the Execution of the FBiH Budget for 2018, and the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Budgets in FBiH - urgent procedure will be considered.

The Law on Amendments to the Law on Police Officers, which will regulate the issue of police officers' retirement through amendments, is not on the agenda. The FBiH Government, at yesterday's session, determined amendments to the existing Law on Police Officers and sent them to the parliamentary procedure under an abbreviated procedure. It is expected that this proposal will still be included on the agenda of today's session.

Representatives of the Trade Union, who negotiated with the Government, agreed that these two laws (Law on PIO and Law on Police Officers) should be on the same session, and they postponed the protests scheduled for December 29. It is certain that the police are ready to organize protests if the agreement is not honored.

Also on the agenda is the Proposal of the Decision on giving consent to the Financial Plan of the Federal Employment Service for 2018 and the forecast for 2019 and 2020, and the Decision on the execution of the Financial Plan of the Federal Employment Service for 2018, the Proposal of the Decision on giving consent to the Financial Plan of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund for 2018 and the Decision on the execution of the Financial Plan of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund for 2018, the Proposal of the Decision on giving consent to the Financial Plan of the Health Insurance and Reinsurance Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2018 (consolidated) and the Financial Plan of the Federal Solidarity Fund for 2018 (Annex I), and the Proposal of the Financial Plan-Budget of FERK for 2018.

What could be heard in the past few days is that the sessions of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament will not be held, and thus the FBiH will be left without an adopted Budget.
