STATE OF EMERGENCY IN SCHOOL MASSACRE, TEN PEOPLE KILLED, KILLER COMMITTED SUICIDE IN SCHOOL TOILET

(Patria) - The perpetrator of the massacre at the BORG school in Graz opened fire in two classrooms on the third floor, and it all started in the school cafeteria. Police are still thoroughly searching the building.

The suspect, according to Kronen Zeitung, was found dead in one of the toilets where he had barricaded himself and committed suicide upon the arrival of special units. He was a student at that school and was allegedly a victim of peer bullying.

Ten people were killed in the shooting, while the number of seriously injured is in the double digits, and among the victims are teachers and students.

The newspaper Krone managed to speak with the wife of a teacher who barricaded herself in the classroom with her students. She reported hearing several shots. Injured students were taken care of in the nearby Helmut List hall, and those who managed to escape were allowed to talk to their parents.

The Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, also commented.

"The news of the shooting in Graz has deeply shaken me. It is incomprehensible and unbearable. My condolences and sorrow are with the victims and their families. No one can imagine the suffering; as a mother of three children, it breaks my heart," said Meinl-Reisinger.
