(Patria) - Vanja Bjelica-Prutina, a member of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has received police protection, confirmed for BHRT by Mirsad Vilić, director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies in BiH.
Police security was assigned to her after police agencies assessed that her safety was threatened. At yesterday's session of the CEC, she publicly requested a security assessment and that the competent institutions determine the criminal responsibility of Milorad Dodik, who "puts a target on her forehead" and threatens the safety of her and her child.
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed that it received a criminal complaint regarding the threat to the safety of the CEC member.
The attacks on CEC members were also condemned by the Office of the High Representative, which called on the competent institutions to react.
