(Patria) - Vice President JD Vance said that testing the US nuclear arsenal will ensure it is "functioning properly," but did not specify what kind of tests President Donald Trump ordered, AFP reported.
"It is an important part of US national security to ensure that this nuclear arsenal we have is indeed functioning properly, and that is part of the testing regime," Vance told reporters at the White House when asked about Trump's social media post about ordering nuclear tests.
He added that the president's statement "speaks for itself."
