(Patria) - US Vice President JD Vance accused the Iranian government of economic terrorism for blocking traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking to Fox News with Bret Baier, Vance said that President Donald Trump showed that the other side can also play this game.
He stated that if the Iranians engage in economic terrorism, the US will apply the principle whereby Iranian ships will also not pass.
Vance also commented on the negotiations with Iran over the weekend, saying that significant progress has been made.
"The ball is now in Iran's court," he said.
He added that Iran must show flexibility and accept the key demands of the US - American control over Iranian enriched uranium and a monitoring mechanism to ensure that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons.
