Vaccinated citizens of Zenica-Doboj Canton can pick up certificates with QR code at health centers

(Patria) - Citizens of the Zenica-Doboj Canton who have completed the immunization process can obtain a free certificate with a QR code starting this week.

This is part of the process that the Health Insurance Fund of this canton carried out during the implementation of the eMi platform and the most important obtaining of eVaccine reports.

In order for the authorities to create a QR code, it is necessary for the vaccination data to be entered into the system via the "immunization record", and so far, more than 95 percent of all vaccinated individuals in ZDK have been entered into this system.

After a citizen receives the second dose of the vaccine, and no later than 24 hours after that, a code is automatically generated, which is now available to citizens. The same system has been implemented in Sarajevo Canton and Una-Sana Canton, and it contains all internationally recognized elements.

The distribution of the QR code to the population is free, and citizens can pick up their QR codes at health centers, according to the relevant vaccination point where they were vaccinated.

In some municipalities, this procedure will be enabled not only in central but also in family clinics in the field. The QR code contains only basic personal data, name and surname, date of birth, thus ensuring personal data protection measures.

All citizens of ZDK who have received the second dose of the vaccine and wish to pick up their QR code can contact the Health Centers in their place of residence.

The Institute for Health and Food Safety notes that citizens can still, under unchanged conditions, obtain a transcript of COVID-19 vaccination data in the so-called "Yellow Card", or international vaccination "passport".

This internationally recognized document is used for immunization, i.e., vaccination on any basis, not only from COVID-19, but also including areas where immunization with other vaccines is necessary, such as the Far East, South America, or some African countries.
