Animal farming for fur production in BiH extended until 2028

At the session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH), the Law on Amendments to the Law on Ministries and Other Administrative Bodies of BiH, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, was adopted.

The Law on Amendments to the Law on the Fundamentals of Road Traffic Safety in BiH, proposed by the House of Representatives of PSBiH, was also adopted.

Given that this Law was adopted with a different text compared to the House of Representatives, the House of Peoples appointed delegates Sead Kadić, Martin Raguž, and Darko Babalj to the Joint Commission of both houses of PSBiH for harmonizing the text of this Law.

The Law on Amendments to the Law on the Protection and Welfare of Animals, proposed by the House of Representatives of PSBiH, was also adopted. This Law was also adopted with a different text compared to the House of Representatives, so delegates Safet Softić, Ljilja Zovko, and Darko Babalj were appointed to the Joint Commission of both houses of PSBiH for harmonizing the text of this Law.

These amendments allow the farming of animals, except for dogs and cats, for fur production until 2028.
