Record Budget of Ilidža Municipality for 2023 Adopted, Amounting to KM 44,681,000

(Patria) - At the 19th regular session of the Ilidža Municipal Council, held in the Multifunctional Hall of the Ilidža Municipality, the Ilidža Municipality Budget for 2023 was adopted in the amount of KM 44,681,000.

This year again, the council members of the Ilidža Municipal Council adopted a record budget amount. All items intended for social protection, support for the veteran population, support in the fields of sports, culture, education, and youth, as well as others, were retained in the Budget, and more than 55% of the funds in the Ilidža Municipality Budget for the next year are intended for the implementation of capital projects.

The Budget proposal was presented to the members of the Ilidža Municipal Council by the Assistant Mayor for Finance, and the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, participated in the work of today's session, which was also attended by his assistants and heads of services.

- We are proud that we are raising the bar year after year and that a record Ilidža Municipality Budget for 2023 has been adopted again. I hope that it will be possible to realize all planned activities to the greatest extent possible in the coming year - said Mayor Nermin Muzur, emphasizing his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the creation of the Ilidža Municipality Budget for 2023, and added:

- The amount of KM 44,681,000 is an obligation for all of us to be even better and more productive in serving our citizens in the coming year, as well as in improving our local community. I thank everyone who participated in the Public Debates on the Draft Budget of the Ilidža Municipality and thus contributed to what received the support of the Ilidža Municipal Council today.

In addition to the adoption of the Budget, which was the most important item on the agenda of the 19th regular session of the Ilidža Municipal Council, today the council members adopted the Decision on determining the public interest for the construction of a street separate sewage network at the location of Ilidža, settlement Osjek, in Hendekuša street, as well as the Decision on undertaking preliminary actions for the establishment of business zones in the area of the cadastral municipality Vlakovo.

The Decision on giving consent to the Municipal Mayor for the conclusion of the Contract on the purchase of real estate for the purpose of renovation and rehabilitation of the historical building - the Old Railway Station building in Ilidža in Sarajevo as a national monument, which also received the necessary support from the members of the Ilidža Municipal Council, is very important for the continuation of changes in the appearance of the very center of Ilidža.

The Decisions on scholarships for talented students, as well as for students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, and for students without both parents and children without parental care for the 2022/2023 academic year were unanimously adopted.
