EP BiH Business Plan Adopted: 2.1 Billion KM to Be Invested in Production by 2017

Shareholders at the 34th Assembly of JP Elektroprivreda BiH, held on 26 February 2015 in Sarajevo, adopted the Business Plan for the period 2015-2017, announced JP EP BiH, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

In the three-year period, JP Elektroprivreda BiH plans to invest around 2.1 billion KM from its own and external sources of financing in the activities of production, distribution, supply and trade, capital facilities, mines and other joint projects.

Strategic goals for the period 2015-2017 include the construction of new replacement thermal capacities and production capacities from renewable sources, completion of the recapitalisation of mines and their modernisation, and restructuring of JP Elektroprivreda BiH in accordance with the Law on Electricity, EU directives and the plan for restructuring the electricity sector in the Federation of BiH.

In the planning period, priority is given to the construction of Block 7 of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant, the Vranduk and Janjići hydropower plants, the Podveležje wind farm, and small hydropower plants on the Neretvica River.

The Company Assembly adopted decisions on amendments to the recapitalisation decisions from 2010 and 2011 for the Zenica, Kreka, Kakanj, Đurđevik, Breza, Abid Lolić and Gračanica mines.

A decision was also adopted on the recapitalisation of RMU Zenica in the amount of 2 million KM, with the aim of re-establishing the production process, repairing damage after the accident at the Raspotočje pit, and resolving current liquidity issues.
