Adopted OBF, Bevanda needs to send the Draft Budget of BiH Institutions

(Patria) - The BiH Council of Ministers unanimously adopted the Document of the Framework Budget of Institutions (OBF) of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2022 - 2024, which contains the medium-term budget framework of BiH institutions and the preliminary draft budget of BiH institutions for 2022, along with preliminary expenditure estimates for 2023 and 2024.

This document follows the Global Framework of Fiscal Balance and Policies in BiH for the same period, which the Fiscal Council adopted at the end of March this year, and which set the framework for financing BiH institutions for 2022 in the amount of 1,073,600,000 KM, of which indirect tax revenue allocations amount to 865,500,000 KM, and the rest are own revenues.

At the same time, preliminary expenditures for BiH institutions for 2023 were set at 1,073,900,000 KM, and for 2024, the framework estimates amount to 1,074,100,000 KM.

The Document of the Framework Budget, among other things, prioritizes support for the continuation of reforms related to meeting the conditions for European Partnership, further implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA), and securing funds for the implementation of the general elections in 2022 and local elections in 2024, as well as securing the necessary funds for the implementation of multi-year projects of budget users during this period.

The Document of the Framework Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations of BiH will be published on the official website of the BiH Ministry of Finance and Treasury. This has created the conditions for the Ministry of Finance and Treasury to prepare and submit the Draft Law on the Budget of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of BiH for 2022 to the BiH Council of Ministers for determination, for further submission to the BiH Presidency, which is authorized to propose it to the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, which ultimately adopts it.
