Adoption of Defence Review a Key Step in BiH-NATO Partnership

NATO Headquarters Sarajevo welcomes the adoption of the Defence Review and accompanying Modernisation Plan by the BiH Presidency on November 24, upon the recommendation of the Ministry of Defence, Patria reports.

- This is a key step in the partnership between BiH and NATO and the development of the operational capabilities of the BiH Armed Forces. This reaffirms and builds upon the consensus reached regarding defence reform in 2005 and is a clear signal that BiH remains committed to defence reform and fulfilling its obligations within NATO's Partnership for Peace programme.

We congratulate everyone involved in this process, especially military professionals, civilian defence officials, and political leaders on their ability to reach a consensus on complex issues and complete this challenging and extensive task, and we remain committed to providing assistance to BiH in the implementation of the Defence Review and Modernisation Plan - it was announced from NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Patria reports.
