Constitutional Court overturns Branimir Glavaš's verdict for war crimes!

The Constitutional Court on Monday overturned the verdict against Branimir Glavaš in the "garage" and "sellotape" cases, in which he was finally sentenced to eight years in prison for war crimes against Serb civilians in Osijek in 1991, and requested the Supreme Court to repeat the procedure by which it confirmed the conviction by the Zagreb County Court, writes Zagreb's Jutarnji list.

For war crimes against Serb civilians in Osijek, Glavaš was finally sentenced to eight years, and the sentence was also confirmed by the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he served his prison sentence, in the prison in Mostar.

His Osijek lawyer Dražen Matijević requested last week that the Constitutional Court, without any further delay, make a decision on the constitutional complaint, which was filed on behalf of his Croatian politician, one of the founders of the HDZ in Zagreb, four years and four months ago, reports NAP.
