Successful humanitarian action: Food and sheep delivered to returnees in villages of eastern Bosnia

During the weekend, 160 food and hygiene packages were distributed and 15 sheep were donated to returnees in the areas of Srebrenica, Bratunac, Vlasenica and Milići. All of this was collected in an action jointly carried out by a team of humanitarians from Zenica and the Humanitarian Organization „Dirhem“ from Sanski Most, reports the Patria news agency.

Three teams visited socially vulnerable families in the villages of Raševo, Glogova, Potočari, Borići, Podčauš, Jadar, Kutuzero, Luka, Krušev do, Sjedače, Prohići and Rišiči. In these villages, located more than two hours' drive on a gravel road through the forest, there is no school, clinic...

The returnees are mostly elderly people, and young married couples are considering leaving their homes because they see no future for themselves, especially for their children.

-HO „Dirhem“ thanks the company „Klas“ led by Rusmir Hrvić, which donated 30 bags of flour, and all the media that supported this action, especially the Patria news agency. We also thank our valuable volunteers, led by Adnan Čolo, who together with the dedicated humanitarians from Zenica carried the burden of this humanitarian action, states the announcement of this humanitarian organization.

In addition to Dirhem, humanitarians who gather in Čajdžinica near Dabar in Zenica and members of the humanitarian organization Život, also from Zenica, participated in this action. The action was coordinated by the Association Svjetlo.
