Successful 2016: Bosnalijek present in 16 foreign markets, revenue and profit growth

Bosnalijek, the largest pharmaceutical company in Bosnia and Herzegovina, achieved revenue and profit growth in 2016. Sales generated revenues of 135.8 million KM, which represents an increase of 13.7 million KM compared to 2015, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

According to Bosnalijek, they continue to strengthen their leading position in the domestic market. Every seventh package of medicine that reaches the end consumer in BiH is produced by Bosnalijek.

In 2016, Bosnalijek was present in 16 foreign markets, and the export expansion, one of the company's strategic goals, continued.

- 68 percent of total revenue was generated outside the borders of BiH - stated Bosnalijek.

The most significant export market in 2016 was the Russian Federation, where sales revenue increased by as much as 17 percent compared to 2015.

Total profit before tax amounted to 11.8 million KM, which is 6 percent more than the previous year. Assets grew by 8 percent, reaching 229 million KM.

In 2016, this company opened 51 new jobs, thus contributing to the BiH economy and employment growth. In 2016, Bosnalijek allocated 11.9 million KM for payments directed to budget accounts in BiH.

As a socially responsible company, Bosnalijek donated more than 300,000 KM to vulnerable individuals and groups, and through regular scholarships, the education of 76 pupils and students was supported.
