Public calls for demolition of facilities and contractors on the First Transversal route section to be issued soon

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The operational team for monitoring the implementation of the First Transversal construction project held its second working meeting today, reviewing the implementation of activities based on adopted conclusions, and agreed on new activities to intensify the construction project of this road. Due to the administrative dispute initiated by the company "Penny plus", the decision declaring the public interest for the construction of the First Transversal by the Centar Municipality cannot be implemented. Due to the evident public interest, the Ministry of Justice and Administration of Sarajevo Canton sent an urgent request to the Cantonal Court to prioritize the resolution of the mentioned case, which the Court has granted.

As reported by the Minister of Transport Adnan Šteta, the study with the complete methodology for the demolition of all facilities on the route of this road from Kranjčevićeva Street to Braće Begić Street is ready.

"There are 28 facilities. Based on the study, the Sarajevo Canton Roads Directorate will issue a public call by the end of this week to select contractors for the demolition of facilities on this route. Demolition will proceed in the order in which property-legal relations are resolved," said Minister Šteta.

He also announced that the Sarajevo Canton Roads Directorate will issue a public call from October 7 to 11 to select contractors for the first section of the First Transversal route from the Technical School to Braće Begić Street.

He also emphasized that an operational plan for relocating the minibus traffic depot from Halida Kajtaza Street to the Alipašin Most location has been prepared, and the cleaning of the depot area has already begun. Intensive work is also being done to find solutions for collective housing facilities in Tešanjska and Halida Kajtaza streets, as well as on other initiated activities.

The Centar Municipality will, as soon as possible, implement the solutions from the harmonization process in its cadastre, in order to align the land registry and cadastre data, which are necessary for the conclusion of notarized contracts between the expropriation beneficiaries and the owners of real estate on the First Transversal route, it was stated, among other things.
