USKOK arrests 30 people for illegal gambling

USKOK has brought in 30 people, including a Tax Administration employee, for committing criminal offenses related to illegal gambling in catering establishments, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. Criminal charges have been filed against all of them for the following offenses - Illegal gambling, Criminal association, Commission of a criminal offense as part of a criminal association, Accepting bribes and Giving bribes.

In 186 catering establishments, 206 illegal gambling machines were discovered, and three catering establishments were closed due to unregistered activity. It was established that the suspects had joined and connected into a criminal association, with the aim of obtaining greater material gain by placing illegal gambling machines in catering establishments.

This operational action, named "Jamb", was carried out in the area of 15 police administrations, and the state budget is thereby damaged annually by about 25 million kuna, reports Patria.
