USK GETS BUDGET: Government Reconstruction Without SDA, Which Lost One Representative

By Ernad Metaj

USK finally got its budget. After it didn't get the green light from the parliamentary budget committee, it seemed the crisis would continue, but the dilemma was resolved by cantonal representative from SDA, Bernada Jukić Kličić.

- I must admit I was surprised, I thought this political agony would continue. I knew colleagues were negotiating with some representatives, but I really didn't expect the vote to come from SDA. At this moment, the most important thing is that we have unblocked payments so that people's salaries and social benefits are not blocked, said the President of the USK Assembly, Ramiz Halkić from SDP, for Patria.

He could not confirm whether the SDA representative would be part of the majority. SDA is also surprised by their representative's vote.

- This was a vote outside the decisions made by party bodies. I cannot comment on anything else at this moment, stated the President of the SDA Caucus, Jasmin Musić. SDA was against the proposed budget of 235 million marks because they consider it unrealistic.

- The budget execution for the previous year is around 200 million. This is a budget of wishes, based on support from the Federation, which has clearly been stated as uncertain. In addition, we representatives saw the budget for the first time today, so everything was done transparently and outside of procedures, Musić believes.

People and Justice representative Halil Bajramović told Patria that no one had the right to hold the citizens of USK hostage to their policies. The budget should have been adopted long ago, and all other disputes resolved afterwards.

- We will see what happens next. We were in favor of adopting the budget from the beginning, and now there will probably be a reconstruction of the USK Government, says Bajramović.

Whether they will support it depends on the agreement. This party is for the dismissal of a minister from their ranks, who is again protected by a representative who left NIP. In order to finally stabilize the majority in USK, it is planned to change as many as five ministers. If Bernada Jukić Kličić has decided to definitively change sides, then the majority led by A-SDA can count on 17 votes in the future, which is enough to make decisions in the Assembly. Earlier, SDA openly offered SDP to change the parliamentary majority and for the prime minister to be from SDP, which is now definitely off the table.
