Office for Coordination of Bosniak Councils: Stop the brutal crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza

(Patria) - The Office for Coordination of Bosniak Councils condemns the brutal killing of Palestinian civilians, especially a large number of children, women, the elderly and infirm in Gaza before the eyes of the whole world, considering that the crime we are witnessing clearly has genocidal elements against the Palestinian people.

This Office includes Bosniak councils from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Council of Bosniak Intellectuals), Serbia (Bosniak National Council), Montenegro (Bosniak Council in Montenegro), Croatia (Coordination of Bosniak County Councils), North Macedonia (Bosniak National Council), USA and Canada (Congress of North American Bosniaks), and Kosovo (Bosniak representatives in the Consultative Council of Communities at the Office of the President of Kosovo).

The Office points out that the crimes committed by the Israeli army against civilians in Gaza, in front of the whole world, have been condemned by a large number of citizens, not only from Arab countries, but by the majority of EU countries, Great Britain, the USA, Australia, Malaysia, the Russian Federation, and Turkey.

"Protest rallies have also been organized by numerous Jewish communities around the world, clearly indicating that they do not agree with the criminal policy of the Government of Israel.

On the other hand, political representatives of the so-called Western world, majority Muslim countries, Asian and African countries, apart from rhetorical condemnations, are taking almost no action to stop Israel's military invasion, which has violated almost all conventions protecting the civilian population and the customs of war.

We are witnessing the powerlessness and collapse of the existing world order, embodied through the United Nations organization.

With this appeal, we, as representatives of the Bosniak people, want to join all those peoples who, through their civil society organizations, protest gatherings and rallies, have demanded an end to military operations and protection for the Palestinian people in Gaza.

It is clear that on one side, we have the expressed will of free citizens and peoples of all faiths and nations, and on the other side, the completely different behavior and actions of state institutions and governments towards the crimes committed by the army of the state of Israel.

We owe this to ourselves, our descendants, and the historical processes we are currently in.

On the public stage, before the eyes of the whole world, we can clearly understand that we are not witnessing a religious war between Jews and Muslims, but a war between the oppressed and the oppressors.

This conflict and the aggressive war by the state of Israel, led by Netanyahu, will threaten peace, international order, and the equality of nations worldwide, with unforeseeable consequences.

We want to emphasize a clear distinction between the Jewish people as a whole and the political leadership of the state of Israel, because Bosniaks have the experience of surviving genocide committed by the nationalist Greater Serbian regime led by Slobodan Milošević.

At that time, Bosniaks drew a clear historical line between the Serbian people and Milošević's criminal regime, and we do the same today when it comes to Palestine," stated the Office for Coordination of Bosniak Councils.
