WHO Office in BiH: Let's aggressively attack the virus, test every suspected case

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - More than 300,000 cases of #COVID19 have been reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) so far.

It took 67 days from the first reported case to the first 100,000 cases, 11 days for the next 100,000, and only 4 days for another 100,000 cases. The pandemic is accelerating. #StayHome

The most important thing is what we can do. You cannot win by only defending yourself, the Office of the World Health Organization for BiH stated.

You also have to attack. Asking people to stay home and other physical distancing measures are important for slowing the spread of the coronavirus and buying time, but that is defense.

To win, we must attack #coronavirus with aggressive and targeted tactics - testing every suspected case, isolating and caring for every confirmed case, and finding and quarantining every close contact.

We acknowledge that some countries are struggling with the capacity to implement these offensive measures. Several countries have shown that internal mobilization of resources from less affected regions is one way to increase capacity.
