Police Administration of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton: Two accomplices of the suspect in the Otoka murder also arrested

(Patria) - The Police Administration of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton issued a public statement regarding the murder that occurred on Sunday, January 28, 2024, around 11:35 PM in the Otoka neighborhood.

Upon arriving at the scene, police officers found a passenger motor vehicle, a Citroen, on VII Transferzala Street, in which a male person was found with a visible injury to the upper part of his body. Doctors from the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance confirmed the death of the man at 12:07 AM, identified as F.P. (2005) from Sarajevo. Driver D.K. (2005) and passenger E.R. (2005) sustained minor bodily injuries, while the third passenger from the vehicle, B.H. (2005), was not injured.

The investigation was led by the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, and was carried out by members of the Police Administration of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton.

In the afternoon hours of January 29, 2024, police officers from the Police Administration of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the acting prosecutor, deprived A.Š., born in 2000 in Sarajevo, of his liberty due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Murder (Article 166, Paragraph 2, Point b) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) to the detriment of F.P. (2005).

Due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of Aiding the Perpetrator After the Commission of a Criminal Offense (Article 346 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), E.G. (1987) and M.S. (2000), both from Sarajevo, were deprived of their liberty on the same day.

The suspects were handed over to the Detention Facilities for Persons Deprived of Liberty of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, and police officers from the Police Administration of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, continue to work on this case.
