Police Administration of MUP KS: Rifles, pistols, large sums of money, cars found in "Consigliere" operation

(Patria) - The Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton issued a press release today regarding the "Consigliere" operation.

"Acting under the supervision of a state prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, two men, Dž.K. (1989) and A.H. (1983), were deprived of liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Organized Crime (Article 250, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of BiH) in connection with the criminal offense of Money Laundering (Article 209, Paragraph 3 in conjunction with Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of BiH).

Searches of facilities used by the suspects in the municipalities of Centar and Novi Grad were carried out. During the searches, a significant amount of cash in EUR and BAM currency, several command and communication devices, four rifles and four pistols, two motor vehicles (Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Rover Defender), business documentation, and other items of interest to the investigation were found and seized.

The activities are being carried out within the framework of the case codenamed “Consigliere” with evidence from Sky and Ana applications, and the suspects are under investigation for organized crime, related to the unauthorized international trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs, as well as money laundering, i.e., introducing large sums of money acquired through criminal offenses into regular payment transactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, by purchasing movable and immovable property.

After criminal processing at the official premises of the Police Administration of the MUP KS, the suspects will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina," announced the Police Administration of the MUP KS.
