Claire Bodonyi, Ambassador of France to BiH, will open the exhibition-performance “Giants of Fine Arts” on April 20th at 7 PM at the Art Gallery of BiH in Sarajevo, it was announced from the Embassy of France to BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.
The aim of this exhibition-performance is to draw attention to the problems of smuggling of artworks in BiH. Since 1992, several hundred works have disappeared from museums.
The exhibition is organized by the Center against Art Smuggling (CPKU), the Art Gallery of BiH, the Association of Visual Artists of BiH, and the International Portrait Gallery Tuzla.
